Decisions, Decisions

Well here is the latest in my life. I went to Dr. Korn, the surgeon, yesterday. He told that I had lost 72 percent of my total excess body weight in a year which is better than average. I wish I could feel really proud of myself, but I don't. All I think is I took the easy way out. The nurse who works with Dr. Korn asked my yesterday if I would come to the support group and share my expirience. I told her that a lot of it wasn't really that good, in fact most of it was pretty rotten. She said that is why she's wants me to do it, so people will know that it isn't always a cake walk. I have thought about it a little. Gee, what do I tell these folks who are trying to improve their lives. That in the year 2007 I almost died twice, went through several humiliating procedures to prove I was really overweight enough to qualify for the surgery, when all a person had to do was look at me. The worst was going to the mental health doctor, to make sure I wasn't a nut case and wouldn't turn into one. I am a nut case I just have hidden it well most of my life. Must have fooled him too, he signed off on the paper saying I was mentally fit. And for the rest of your entire life you will take more a plethora of pills everyday, both pharmacueitcal and vitiams, minerals and such. By days end I take at least 30 pills a day. Well that's enough of being maudlin for today. In ten days I will be going home. YIPPEE. We are going to have fun, fun, fun. I am thinking maybe we should even try going to Jackson Hole for a picnic. What do you all think. Ok, so there is a story behind that statement, a fond and funny memory. I still think I and Valerie should find a piano and sing The Sweetheart Tree for everybody, it would be a real treat. We can go to the Trackside Mall and maybe I will find a beautiful swan to add to my collection. I am still thinking of places to go. I leave Boise at 8:56 pm Monday the 28th of April and get in Idaho Falls at 9:56 pm.

Verryy Interestink

It has been a weird couple of weeks at work. Back on April 1st it was discovered that 1 strap of $100.00 bills was missing from one of the vault. Translation, $10,000.00. After a week and a half the culprit was uncovered. It was one of the newest Loomis employees. This is how they tried to do it (they always get caught sooner or later), security cameras everywhere. There were two people working in the room, they finished running all the money for that particular bank and one of them went to the vault to get the board to record the combined total for the day. While they were gone the person took one strap of $100 out of a bundle of $100s, that is 10 straps of $100s and put the bundle on the cabinet. That part wasn't on the tape very clearly. But, what they did next is sit down with their back to the camera and put the strap in their shoe, then turned toward the camera and started shooting rubberbands. Also, on the way to the vault apparently the strap started to come out of the shoe so they shook their leg a couple of times. Well of course, Loomis security came and watched all the tapes from the March 31 and April 1, questioned the other person that was working in there, actually grilled is a more apt term. Then they had him watch the tapes. The more they watched the tapes, it became quite clear who had done it and how they did it. On Monday the 4th they were waiting for that person and ask them to step into the office, before they went to the money room. After questioning them and showing them the tapes, they admitted it. They had spent about $2400 of the $10,000, and returned the unspent portion to Loomis. Needless to say they were taken away in handcuffs, and are visiting what is fondly known in Boise as the Graybar Hotel, which is probably a good thing. The $2400 has to be recognized as a loss, making it so everyone in the Boise site loses the month incentives and the quartly incentive and a chance at a drawing for a HD tv, most everyone would like to give them a V-8 boop. But, today when we were counting vaults, we were missing 1 $100 strap from the same bank. Of course, the first think out of everyone mouths was "everybody take your shoes off". Thankfully it was someone's addition error. Being the comedians that they are they ask me to empty my bra since there was plenty of room lately from a strap of money. I told them it would probably fall right through.

Going home in 18 days. Yippee!!!!!!!!!! What fun we will have. To bad Mom doesn't have the piano, because, I and Valerie could do our rendition of The Sweetheart Tree. It is quite lovely if I do say myself. LOL. Actually think of fingernails on a chalkboard and times it by 10, you get the idea.

More shiny stuff

I forgot earlier to add these photos. I found something shiny at work the other day. I am going to a coin shop and have it appraised, it will probably only the work of the silver. The silver certificate I found a couple of months ago. I ran across another Friday but it wasn't in very good condition. If any of you have a Minnesota state quarter we are missing it. I think New Mexico is the first 2008 quarter due out this month and then the new fives in March sometime, we haven't seen any photos of them, so, I don't know what they will look like. It is raining here even as I speak. I guess the weather man was right.

Well here it IS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well here is the new wedding band. Pretty huh? It has 11 small diamonds and is a band of gold. Very simply but beautiful. Not to much different going on here but the weather, it truly does change about every 10 minutes. It snowed cats and dogs Friday, then rained early Saturday morning. They say it is suppose to rain today, but the sun is shining right now and then be in the 50's next week. Most of the ski resorts are doing a little happy dance around here. Bogus Basin says it has had it's best season in years. The only one that is complaining is the new one up by Donnelly. The French backers for Tamarack pulled the millions of dollars loan because they are going belly up and Tamarack has filed for chapter 11. There is still hope though for them. Maybe Andre Aggassis will do for them what Bruce Willis and Demi Moore did for the Sun Valley area. Aggassis and his wife are building a mutli million dollar hotel there. But, down here in the valley people in Ada County have to bitch about something. Now they are worried about being flooded. What did they think would happen every spring when they built their million dollar home on a flood plane 3 feet from the Boise River?????? The farmers around here are happy though. That's about it for happenings in Boise.

Just another week gone by, so fast. I am feeling much better than I was. I still have some kind of little problems like my weight going up and down like a yooyoo, 3 and 4 pounds overnight, pretty weird if you ask me. Well our 11th wedding anniversary was Friday the 15th, we wondered where all that time went to. My big news is I got a new wedding band for Valentine's Day and Our Anniversary. I haven't gotten it yet, because, they only had a 6 in the store and I needed an 8. That is 2 sizes smaller than my other one. I guess I could have had that sized, but, I am just a sentimental fool. This one is very beautiful!!!!! The band is gold and it has 5 small diamonds in it, the carat weight for the diamonds is the same as the carat weight in my engagement ring. We went to Hal Davis jewelers. They just happen to be one of the mowing customers and have been for years, so Tom wanted to try there first, and we are both happy with this ring. Maybe we can get a good enough picture of my new sparkly to post.

Our weather here has been so nice. Not always warm, but the sun has been shining and beautiful. I am getting spring fever and summer fever since I missed both of them last year. I am getting so excited about being able to wear shorts. The other day I crossed my legs and was so amazed I called Tom and made him look. It is amazing the little things that can get you excited.

We had our personal training session Saturday. Today both Tom and I are going ow ooow oow. We did excerises for the arms and back. My right arms is sore, left is good. Tom's left arm is sore and the right is good. We have another Tuesday. I am hoping to be able to work on the core muscles again. I told him we need to go a couple times a week besides the training sessions, then we wouldn't going oooooowwwww. That's all for February 17, 2008. Hope everyone is good.
